Over the past year I have seen more than one person unironically say than trans masculine people are the primary targets of TERFs and it& #39;s hard not to be upset about that ignorance, I can& #39;t lie.

And don& #39;t get me wrong! The infantilization and the false pity suck! ROGD is an awful new vector of transphobia that is, indeed, primarily directed against young trans masculine and AFAB non-binary folks.

But it& #39;s not the same.

And it is NOT very historically aware as a take.

Gosh all you have to do is go into the replies of a thread their particular brand of hate is infesting, and look at the violence. It& #39;s ugly. I don& #39;t recommend it.

The violence they ascribe to transfeminine people and the violence they fantasize about DOING to transfeminine folks

And, like, listen:

I say it all the time. "Nobody wins at the Oppression Olympics, we should all stop entering."

But if we aren& #39;t honest about who the targets of hate are, we cannot properly defend those targets from that hate.

TERFs primary targets are transfeminine people.
