Recently switched to a custom made light theme for Vim, after reading a bit on how dark themes aren& #39;t all that good for your eyes.
Oh boy it makes a positive difference. Probably also helps that I reduced the amount of colors used, compared to my previous theme.

One big difference is the complete absence of halation in this theme.
My old theme suffered from this a bit, especially as my eyes got tired. In fact, I had my eyes checked out years ago because of that; only to recently learn the issue was likely halation, not my eyes.
