The astonishment of some people when confronted by the deliberate weaponised snobbery of the exam results debacle only serves to demonstrate how blithe they’ve been about the background radiation of snobbery that has always permeated our whole society.

Seriously, how can “The British upper and moneyed classes like having it all their own way and place obstacles in the path of people from poorer backgrounds in order that shore up their own status” come as a surprise to ANYONE?
