Thing is, I hc Naib as being half-Nepali. That doesn& #39;t mean he& #39;s WHITE though. I do this because a) we don& #39;t know anything about his dad and b) my life experience is as being half-Mexican/half-white and it makes it easier for me to write because I& #39;m writing my experience.

That& #39;s legit why I hc Norton as half-Mexican as well. It makes sense because a) his name is Scottish and b) he has a LOT of Mexican influence in his life, just like me. Thus writing that for him plays into my own life experience and I think that& #39;s more compelling.

There& #39;s this imposter syndrome you feel when being half because you& #39;re living in two different worlds but not able to fully immerse yourself in either. My Mexican experiences don& #39;t translate when talking to whites, and vice versa with my white experience. It& #39;s not fun.

You feel isolated and don& #39;t feel like you belong in either space because you have to lie in order to be in one space or the other, and I& #39;m bad at lying. So I exist in a weird limbo space. AND THIS IS WHY I MAKE EVERYONE ONLY HALF. Because that struggle is my life.
