1. PLANNER (physical/digital)
• If you don& #39;t have a planner what is you doing??? Your planner doesn& #39;t need to look aesthetically pleasing it can be super simple you just need to write down the things you want to do that week/day so you don& #39;t get overwhelmed

• if you don& #39;t want to waste paper you can also use Google calendar or you prefer one to write down your study plan. Here you can see my July study plan draft.
• When you plan out your stuff you are less likely to get stressed out n have a burn out.
2. MOTIVATION
• Go and find that shit rn, I know that it can be hard sometimes but I need you to find it in something. Give yourself short time goals (for ex. you will allow yourself to watch Netflix after you have done xy amount of work that day)
3. NOTES
• Find your fav way of taking notes for some they like to take notes in class, some write their notes before class (i recommend that), etc. I have found out that I really like making mindmaps cuz it just makes sense to me
4. ACTIVE RECALL
• When studying for exams you should actively recall the material by doing HW, your own notes, trying to teach the chapter/book to your friends and flashcards. My junior year was kinda saved by flashcards
• For BIO I would write down every term in ANKI (free on laptops, there is an alternative app with the same name on app stores it& #39;s free as well) and go through the list 2-4 times a day, it forced me to remember so many things especially about how the heart works and its parts
• So I highly recommend mindmaps and flashcards, you could do this that you read your chapter then close the book and vomit out all the information you can remember then you open the book again and look for things you were not sure about, so you get to focus on ur problem areas
5. NO DISTRACTIONS
• Cut your phone off COMPLETELY!! You can use apps like "Forest" or the free alternative "Plantie" you can ofc just leave your phone to another room if that& #39;s good with you. And if you study on a mac I recommend "Self Control" win alternative is "Cold Turkey"
• as the procrastination queen i can say that these apps above do really help!! also to avoid distractions or procrastination i recommend going to a library/cafe after school to do your HW cuz then it& #39;s harder for you to take out your phone to do something irrelevant-
knowing that you came all this way to study but if you don& #39;t have that opportunity to study outside of your home I recommend real-time study with me videos on youtube. Put those on while studying so you feel like you are studying with someone
+ NOTE TAKING
• I was asked how to take notes before class, first read the chapter and look through the terms at the end of the chapter if your book has those then write down the important parts, you can also just do digital flashcards about the chapter n u good to go
6. RELAX
• This isn& #39;t really study-related but you can& #39;t come home at 3 pm and study until 12 am that& #39;s not healthy and you will burn out REAL QUICK, what I do recommend is that you give yourself time 30 min- 1hr before sleep you just chill no books etc.
• do things that you like and give time to yourself to hang out with your friends. Balance your study and personal life don& #39;t get them twisted alright?
