May 2017, Italian police arrest over 60 people, including Francesco Martiradonna, an & #39;Ndrangheta boss and suspected owner of CenturionBet.

CenturionBet, they found, reached playing volume of over €150m and €5m in annual profits within 2 years.

June 2017, MGA suspends CenturionBet& #39;s licence. But, as not a law enforcement action, its assets remain active.

Italian court sends Malta’s attorney general an urgent request to seize its assets.

Months pass, Malta takes no action.

“It is easier to work with Peru or Colombia than with Malta,” Nicola Gratteri, anti-mafia prosecutor who led the investigation, said. “If Malta decides not to collaborate or replies six months or a year later, the investigation is useless.”

January 2018, Italian court submits new request for seizure.

Reporters press Malta’s AG, Peter Grech, for answers. He informs Italy that seizure had been carried out.

May 2018, Italy still waiting for formal evidence of seizure.

Receptionist at CenturionBet& #39;s Malta office space tells OCCRP that “last December [2017], CenturionBet packed up and left in a rush.”

There are other CenturionBets and other & #39;Ndrangheta bosses at work in Malta. Johann Cremona, Yorgen Fenech& #39;s friend, can testify to this.
