Mr Warfield has now locked all his social networks. He’s been sent threats. Anonymous homophobes dug up and started commenting on pictures of him and his loved ones.

One of these pictures, dug up by trolls, has now been shared twice by Aontú under the claim that it’s offensive to Catholics. I did ask the party what it was specifically about Mr Warfield wearing a widely sold Pope t-shirt that was so offensive, but there was no answer.
