it a point where they separate the things that give them escape from their usual lives as much as possible, so that they won& #39;t get ruined and tainted and as a result, they have diff versions of themselves (taruchi and chikausa)

i& #39;d like to think that i make sense bc it does to me fbdjdjd like. magic is a thing that people are amazed at, and can& #39;t quite believe. if chikage fixates himself in something that people are astounded at, maybe he& #39;ll be perceived better. he& #39;ll be looked at nicely, and maybe he
might fall for his own tricks himself.
but the thing is, magicians aren& #39;t mesmerized by their own tricks, because they know everything about them. all the details, every process. knowing the truth removes the entire purpose of "magic."

...and this is where i bring up the fact that chikage& #39;s always been lying to others, and to himself.
