I have always suspected that I get aggro on the street that simply would not happen if i were a man. I& #39;m not talking about the sexual stuff, obviously that& #39;s because I& #39;m female. I& #39;m talking about people being randomly aggressive because they think they can be.
It& #39;s hard to prove, of course, because I& #39;m not a man, and rarely is there a way to see what said aggro person would do in the same situation if I were male. But today, a happenstance test case totally bore my theory out and I& #39;m fuming.
I was talking thru a residential area. Wearing a mask. There& #39;s a man sitting on the low wall outside a (his?) house. He sees me walking towards him and starts being aggro about 2 metres distancing. Sticks out his stick across the pavement.
I am already walking on the edge of the pavement ie as far away as I can possibly be. So I am far enough away and pass him, ignoring him, because that& #39;s what women do isn& #39;t it. However, straight after, a man comes round the corner ahead of me.
He is walking in the middle of the pavement & walks right past me, with no attempt at social distancing. Onto aggro stick man - and he is surely going to walk into his stick, right? Nope, not a fucking peep, no sticking the stick out. Man sails right past him, well within a metre
