To commemorate, here are 9 valuable things I learned making this feature film, in no particular order (thread):

1. Scheduling night scenes in the summer w child actors is damn near impossible* with labor law restrictions. If you need these make sure you schedule your shoot for when the sun doesn& #39;t set at 9pm. 2. If you& #39;re going to crowdfund, make sure you are ready to spend the funds in the same year. 3. Dressing your character in similar clothes throughout the story can turn into a continuity nightmare. 5. For the love of all things, don& #39;t wing your trash/ recycling plan. You need to know where the hell it& #39;s all going at the end of the night. 6. In-kind catering = community building. We had all of our meals sponsored by local restaurants and a lot of the owners/managers ended up being extras on set and some of our greatest champions. (Have @ElenaWeinberg to thank for that learn! Check out her film @ARFONmovie)

7. The more space you give everyone to work on their craft, the better your film will be. 8. Never negotiate a producer credit - or anyother credit -for a person that didn& #39;t do the job. People who help financially get Exec P credit. People who help with bits of production can get Associate P credit. Producing is a hard ass job. That shits gotta be EARNED.

9. When you are picking your core team, remember you are picking who you are spending the next three years with.
