this venus retrograde is a test. to see how much we truly love ourselves. to see if we’re genuinely ready for the love we truly desire in this lifetime
am i? yes. and also no. but no one can ever be 100% ready for anything. we do our best given the circumstances presented before us
i know everyone always says this but when you meet the person you want to be with.. you’ll just.. know. it’s so hard to explain. the ego tries so hard to deny it, but the heart knows
i truly let go for such a long time too.. and always still make my way back to the love in my heart. real love is patient. real love is understanding. real love is kind.. considerate. compassionate
real love is raw.. vulnerable. it’s terrifying, to share + trust someone with the darkest parts of yourself. we convince ourselves that our past trauma is “too much” or “how could they still like me” but if they’re truly there for you, they’ll understand + accept you regardless
i’ll go back to my original statement.. it’s a test. if you truly love yourself (which i do in my own instance) you’re able to give space and yet still love them too. genuine love is not limited by the bounds of this earth, time, or space. real love comes from source
and if they feel that love in their heart too? they’ll make their way back to you when the time is right. love is patient. what is meant for you will always be for you. you don’t have to sit there and worry about the way things are right now
the main focus should always be yourself. you came to this earth to heal.. to decide first and foremost that the love you feel from within you is coming from a genuine place of understanding and compassion. not codependency, to control, to possess.. real love is free to just.. be
if it’s meant to be in this lifetime? wonderful. celebrate! if not? that’s okay too. your main focus should always be you regardless. that special relationship doesn’t hold as much weight when you’re doing your own mission work in this lifetime first and foremost
because when you’re living your life to your fullest (to the best of your ability), that special relationship is genuinely just a beautiful added bonus!! to the abundance, prosperity, and joy you already feel in this lifetime
that’s where i’m at right now. making strides every day towards my soul mission :) i’m happy with or without a relationship. genuine love comes from within
