Does Isabelle truly exist, or is she the manifestation of all that& #39;s missing in Tom Nook& #39;s soul?

Could it be Tom Nook created Isabelle using his magical racoon powers to manage the island& #39;s treasury? Like she& #39;s a doll that works for him.
