TW: sexual violence

twitter is currently a very unsafe and triggering place for survivors of sexual violence. In the wake of what is happening politically, let& #39;s please remember that anybody may see your posts about rape and assault. (1/?)

of course what is happening currently with our presidential candidates is important to talk about. BUT, these posts should be provided with a warning so survivors are not caught off guard and brought back to a horrible place. (2/?)

twitter is used differently for many people: memes, political content, news, laughs, etc. lets all remember that anyone who follows us may be a survivor. and this may be an especially hard time for them. let& #39;s not make it harder. (3/?)

i think this may be an easy thing to forget on a platform such as this one. ive seen the word rapist more times this past week than ever before on here. it has a deep affect on many people. (4/?)

so this is just a gentle reminder to be cautious, empathetic, and aware. whether it& #39;s triggering to you or not, we can& #39;t decide that for other people so a warning is always appreciated. okie that& #39;s all !
