I really like the description of Daichi& #39;s study, i hoped to make it nice and sunny and bright visually, just like a majority of the scenery in VE. and i think that comes through in this, and I& #39;m very pleased
This is one of my fav & #39;protag meeting& #39; scenes. I& #39;m a BIG sucker for dramatic first meetings (cough Bollywood/Kollywood cough) so i kinda let that get the best of me here. Also Daichi is incredibly handsome, and I always love to emphasize that as much as i am humanly able

The library scene is a & #39;bubble& #39; scene, which i LOVE because it really helps to establish atmosphere or push emotional connections. Cutting out a lot of the external information and focusing on the bubble the characters are in is like a little rest stop on the narrative highway?
Also it& #39;s just very quiet and gentle and it& #39;s like a liminal space where it feels like if you breathe too loud you& #39;ll disturb the peace... I love Bubble scenes man gosh
Another nice description of Daichi... gosh the image of Daichi laughing makes me so happy. I always have to describe how handsome he is or I might actually perish

Another solid by 3 am Airy. i think there& #39;s something very intimate and precious about saying your favourite person& #39;s name out loud. It is said with care. The sounds are filled with care. The deliberate movement of lips and tongue is made with care. There is always care in a name
At this point I was 3 days past my gifting deadline and was rapidly losing steam so i decided to cut out the bullshit and have it be simple and straightforward (much like Daichi, tbh. What a stroke of genius). I think it worked out well though
The end!! Gosh i am so so so pleased with how this fic turned out. For something i wrote in a hurried, frantic rush, it turned out better than i thought. (I sound pretty sceptical of the quality in my A/N in the fic, but now i think it& #39;s actually pretty good!)
I don& #39;t usually write like this (formal, somewhat flowery) but I thought it& #39;d be interesting considering the source material (Violet Evergarden) is very elegant and finely crafted. Also thought it would fit the tone of the story better, and it did, so I& #39;m glad that paid off!
I also realize now that there& #39;s barely any mention of hands in the fic so i& #39;ll go back and add something in there, somewhere...
