I don& #39;t know who needs to hear this, but anyone who earns a PhD and uses "Dr." in front of their name has every right to do so. Some academics do and some don& #39;t, but either way, they earned it. That& #39;s really all that needs to be said, but one more thing to consider... (1/2)

Shaming someone who uses "Dr" because they& #39;re not in a "hard science" field is a common tactic used against LGBTQ folks, people of color, women, religious minorities, etc. who specialize in a field of social science or theology and often "hard sciences". Don& #39;t do that.
