It& #39;s interesting to me that in so many disaster movies and books, the in-demand skills revolve around killing. But in this real-world disaster, it& #39;s cooking, cleaning, and now sewing skills that are in demand.

I can& #39;t sew very well but my grandmother taught me how to sew when I was little. She told me she never liked sewing but sometimes you had to do it. She lived through 2 world wars and 30 years under communism, where she had to sew a lot of things to survive.
