It& #39;s like that time I had a crushing toothache and my dentist ruthlessly seized so much power that he drilled into my teeth!!! And I was such a sheep that I just let him do it. Never gonna make that mistake again, I& #39;ll tell ya. https://twitter.com/GoAngelo/status/1245869507031121921">https://twitter.com/GoAngelo/...
Also reminds me of the time I had that really complicated problem I had to work out with the IRS and an accountant demanded to see all of my financial records and then resolved the issue. SUCH POWER GRABS WILL NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN, I tell ya.
Gawd, Tucker just has me so riled up with populist rage right now! I just remembered that time a loved one got meningitis and the doctors stuck a needle in her spine, forced a tube down her throat, and pumped her full of medicine. Freaking monsters! I won& #39;t get fooled again!
Back in the late 1960s the Cuyahoga river used to catch on fire with some regularity and I thought it was quite a beautiful thing. But then some experts staged a power grab and created regulations that stopped the river from catching on fire. NO MORE POWER GRABS, I say!
I& #39;m old enough to remember in the 1970s when the vicious "experts" in the seatbelt lobby staged a power grab and forced us all to start wearing seatbelts, and then car accident deaths decreased significantly, forcing us to continue to live with people who didn& #39;t needlessly die.
And then there was that power grab when so-called "experts" insisted on spreading the news that smoking causes cancer & then people were forced to take that information into consideration when they smoked & lots of people decided they& #39;d rather live than give $$$ to Philip Morris.
Frozen food heir Tucker Carlson has been a toxic force in our political culture for years now. That language of "expert power grabs" has been standard right wing messaging since 1933. It& #39;s so lazy, unoriginal, & boring. But it puts money in Tucker& #39;s pockets, so what does he care?
Here& #39;s a longer thread explaining why there is nothing even remotely redeemable about this cynical, trust fund opportunist passing himself off as a "man of the people." https://twitter.com/SethCotlar/status/1206255696544555008?s=20">https://twitter.com/SethCotla...
